210℃ Red EPDM Double-Layer Steel Wire High-Temperature Steam Hose

I. Basic Structure and Standard Parameters (Standard configuration for export to cold-region oilfields)

Four-Layer Composite Structure

Inner Rubber: Black conductive high-temperature resistant EPDM (peroxide vulcanized). Resistant to 210℃ saturated steam and 230℃ instantaneous superheated steam; conductive and anti-static, dissipates static electricity from steam flow, meeting oilfield explosion-proof requirements; resistant to steam hydrolysis, does not pulverize, swell, or leak during long-term transportation of high-temperature steam.

Intermediate Buffer Layer: Thin EPDM Rubber. Isolates the steel wire from the inner and outer rubber layers, preventing delamination during hot and cold cycles.

Reinforcing Layer: Two layers of high-strength galvanized steel wire cross-woven. 17 bar constant working pressure, burst pressure ≥68 bar (4 times safety factor); the steel wire is not easily corroded at low temperatures and will not break when bent, withstanding high-frequency pressure pulses in oil fields.

Outer Adhesive: Red special cold-resistant and weather-resistant EPDM (with micro-ventilated pinholes). The distinctive red color allows for visual identification of steam pipelines in the oil field; the pinholes allow for the discharge of thermal expansion gases from the interlayer, preventing high-temperature bulging and delamination; resistant to crude oil, diesel, snow spray, salt spray, and abrasion from gravel; resistant to Arctic ultraviolet radiation and ozone aging.

In extremely cold winter environments with temperatures as low as -40℃, the rubber maintains high flexibility, exhibiting no cracks during winding, dragging, and bending; ordinary domestic steam pipes harden and crack at -20℃, frequently bursting and causing work stoppages in winter.

In summer, under alternating cycles of direct sunlight and 210℃ high-temperature steam, the rubber does not soften or crack, maintaining long-term stability under a 60℃ diurnal temperature range.

2. Conductive and Explosion-Proof Design, a Must for Oilfield Safety

The Tyumen oilfield in Siberia and the Alberta oil sands in Canada are flammable and explosive oil and gas areas; high-speed flowing steam easily accumulates static electricity, and ordinary insulated hoses can easily generate sparks that ignite oil and gas. Black conductive EPDM continuously discharges static electricity, avoiding explosion hazards and meeting local oilfield safety regulations.

Heavy oil steam injection equipment experiences frequent pressure fluctuations. The double-layer braided steel wire resists fatigue, with no wire breakage after 100,000 pressure pulses; a 4 times higher safety factor ensures that the pipe will not burst under wellhead pressure impact or instantaneous overheating, making it suitable for unattended field well sites.

Ordinary NBR rubber rapidly powders and leaks when exposed to high-temperature steam; specialized high-temperature resistant EPDM does not degrade when in long-term contact with 210℃ steam, reducing inspection and maintenance frequency in remote Siberian unmanned oilfields.
